Happy Birthday Kelv!

No fooling around about it, but on April 1st Kelv turned 24! Hurrah!

After a fun first trip to the Teppanyaki restaurant-- where we sang Happy Birthday to Kelv over a 3-layered flaming onion cake, and Kelv put us all to shame with his shrimp catching skills-- we had the Billmans over for some cupcakes and another round of Happy Birthday!

So do you all want to know why I'm so happy!?!


Well... I got blessed this week!


My daddy gave me a very special blessing and I had so many people come to visit and support me!


My Grandparents and uncle Trent even came all the way from Boise for the blessing. They were so nice that they even babysat me so Mommy and Daddy could go on a date to the MAC and dance!


Plus last week I got to visit both of my GREAT grandmas on my mommy's side! They love me so much!


Isn't life so wonderful!?!

Lots to do!

So Camden had a busy week!

First... now that his cord has finally fallen off and healed he had his first tub bath!

We're still working on liking those! ;-)

Is it over?

At least the aftermath of the bath wasn't too bad!

Then... he got a visit from his great grandparents! All the way from Boise!

He also had his first real bear hug!

And finally on Friday, Camden, went to the National Dancesport competition at BYU! He was so good and either slept or was eating happily through the whole thing!


Then on Saturday, Camden had his first babysitting adventure at his grandparents home while Alene and Kelv had their first date night since Camden's birth, back at Dancesport!


Whew! I wonder what this week will have in store!?

One Week Old!

One of the nurses (Auntie Carol) with whom I work in the NICU crocheted this for Camden months ago! She put little airplane buttons on it because she thinks he'll go places in life! Carol is the "baby whisperer" at work. Thanks Carol!

Inspired by what my siblings (Paul and Vicky) did with their son Benjamin, we're going to try and visually keep track of how much Camden grows each week by comparing him to the squares on our rug and his teddy bear.
